PREPARE FOR CLOSING
The Closing Attorney will verify that there are no judgments against the Buyer or Seller, and no liens against the property which would prevent the transfer of title.FINAL WALK THROUGH
Before going to the closing table, the Buyer will go through the home with their agent to check repairs and verify any other agreed upon terms have been met.UTILITIES & MAIL
Fill out a change of address form online or at your local post office. Have utility companies stop service on the day you move out or transferred to your new address.AT CLOSING
A closing attorney will guide you through signing all of the paperwork required to complete the purchase. After the Buyer and Seller have both signed, and the loan is funded, your home is officially SOLD!KEYS
The Buyer will be given a set of keys to the home after closing. Make sure to leave extra keys, garage remotes, or service manuals at the home for the new owners.PROPERTY TAXES
At closing, property taxes will be prorated between you and the buyer based on the portion of the year that you each own the home.AFTER CLOSING
FUNDING
You can expect to receive funds from the sale as soon as the same day if both parties have closed in the morning. If closings took place in the afternoon, funds may be received the next business day.
